Let's Talk Movies: Return to Oz

So I'm stuck waiting for Windows Live Writer to finish downloading. It takes a while. I flip through TV channels and found that Return to Oz was on Disney Channel. This one's the 1985 version. Apparently there was a version way back in 1964.

So as I was watching, I thought that girl who played Dorothy looked familiar. I kept getting Fairuza Balk's name in my head. Naturally, I had to make sure if my hunch was correct so I consulted IMDb about it.

Turns out that I was right. Fairuza Balk did play Dorothy in Return to Oz. Funny how she went from sweet, innocent Dorothy to the bad witch in The Craft, and the Nazi-loving freak in American History X.

Quite the contrast, isn't it? Anywho, I just thought I'd drop by to share what I learned for today. It's almost the weekend and I can't wait for next week.
